He is also a half brother to a Group 1 winner. A son of Carnegie, (Saddler's Wells) Group 1 winner of 7 races inc Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe. He is closely related to champion sire Zabeel. From the family of Souverign Path, Matrice and Manahi, his second dam a sister to Pago Pago. This is a family representing the best Australian springing bloodlines producing tough early 2 year olds.
He was purchased in New Zealand by top Victorian trainer Robbie Laing who has this to say about the horse:
